Malina's 2nd Halloween

Malina enjoyed her 2nd Halloween much more!! She actually was able to go up to the door and trick or treat with the kids. She didn't have "trick or treat" down yet so, she just said, "pppeeeasss!" She was so funny because she wanted more than one candy from each house. She'd try to take three or four...hahah.

This year we went to the Ruyera's house and had dinner then took the kiddos trick or treating. The Pirings and Rie,Felicia, and Unique also came over. It was a blast!! Malina enjoyed trick or treating very much! Mason and Cyan were pros! So next year Malina hopes to be a pro like them:).

Our little talker

Wow...... Malina is going to be very talkative!! It's very funny to hear her hold an entire conversation. She's continued to talk herself to sleep each night. She wakes up every morning talking to herself or her babies (stuffed animals). Also, before a nap she talks. Here's some of her words and phrases:

"Bye, bye wa wa" means bye bye water, she usually says this when we are flushing the toliet or letting the water out of the bath

"jooze" means yogart drink

"moe-nin" means good morning

"no no" means Nino

"Annie" means Auntie

"Mom-Me" means mommy

"Da-Dee" means daddy

"ow wee" means i have a little scratch or something u need to kiss..haha

"la la la la" means singing a song (haha)

"poo poo" means I went #2

"pee pee" means I went #1

"dit tee" means dirty

"peeeasss" means please

"night night" means good night

"wow wow" meants dog

"ought" means hot

"weady" means ready

These are just some of her words/phrases. Everyday she says a new word or phrase and we are stunned ...hahha.

Where does time go?

My lil beauty is growing toooooo fast!!!

I don't even know where to start. Malina has become such a little personality. She keeps us laughing everyday. From her "attitude" to fake laugh, she's soo funny!!

She started this thing where she gives you attitude. I don't know where she got it, but it drives me mad...haha. You'll tell her something she doesn't like n she'll either mad dog you or roll her eyes. Isn't 20 months too young for that???? I THINK SO!!!!

She's such a lil mommy already!! She gets all her dolls and pats them to sleep or talks to them, it's really cute. Yesterday, in the car she was showing her baby her eyes. She kept telling her, "eyes, eyes!" It was quite funny. Carey and I were shocked that she was teaching the baby the way we teach her:).

This girl is to much!! She loves playing with kids and laughing! I am so grateful that overall she is a VERY happy and good little girl. I look forward to what else is to come.

SOOOOORRRRRYYYYY!!!!

I really don't have an excuse other than we've been SUPER busy!! Malina has of course continued to amaze us. Everyday she learns, says or does something new.

Last week, for spring break, Malina took her first flight. Of course, we couldn't start with a quick flight. We flew to North Carolina to visit Nana Norma, Grandpa and Nino Nick. Overall, Malina did pretty good. It was kinda hard since our flights were hot and she is a hot kid, that made us both a little uncomfortable. However, the flight was forgotten once she was visiting with Nana, Grandpa and Nino. O yea, Roscoe, the dog, was her BFF. She followed that guy all over. She even managed to constantly sit in his bed...haha. She followed him around calling him "ruff ruff". We stayed there for 6 days. It was very nice and relaxing. The house is in the mountains , so it was nice being out in nature:).

Malina is talking quite a bit. Most of the time she has her own language, She does say "whaaas dat" "momma" "dada" "nana" "tata" "ruff ruff" "o sit" "o wow" clearly. She constantly keeps us laughing and on our toes. Anything we say or do she instantly copies. Tonight at dinner I was wiping my face with a napkin. She pointed to the napkin, so i gave it to her and she started wiping her mouth. It was very cute!! Carey and I were amazed that she knew to do that..haha

We are having soooooo much fun with Malina. We can't wait to see what she says or does next:).

1 year old

Our lil princess in ONE!!!

Wow, seems like yesterday she was a few months old...haha. Malina had lots of celebrating!! She celebrated her birthday 3 different times:).

CELEBRATION #1 ...On her actual birthday, Thursday December 30th, Carey, Malina and I went to the zoo. We had a fun time. Despite the cold weather, Malina loved looking at all the animals. She had a fun time. After the zoo we came home and had dinner and cake. Malina was so happy to celebrate her day with loved ones. Malina got her own cupcake and of course, did not like it:(. She didn't want anything to do with it




CELEBRATION #2..The beginning of January we went to Blythe to see the family. While we were there we decided to have a cake for Malina and her cousin Kase. They are only three days apart and we wanted to celebrate with the family. It was fun hanging out with family and friends. Again, Malina didn't care too much for the cake :(.





CELEBRATION #3..January 8th we had her first birthday party. We decided to have it at the house. We had a very fun time. Malina enjoyed all of the kiddos that came to play. She had fun hitting the pinata, playing with everyone and opening gifts.Again she had a cupcake and didn't like it. This time she even tried to put out the candle with her fingers :(.

GOOD,GOOD Times!!!! Malina enjoyed all of her CELEBRATIONS!!! She is very thankful for all of the WONDERFUL family and friends that are involved in her life and that came and helped her celebrate her FIRST BIRTHDAY!!!

First Christmas!!

Malina had such a WONDERFUL holiday!!She spent Christmas Eve (day) at home,hanging with mommy and daddy! Tata and Michael came by for a few hours too. We all just hung out and watched tv and laughed at SILLY Malina, of course.

Christmas Eve (evening) we went to Inays. It was so great for Malina to see a lot of the family. It had been a while since she was able to see all her cousins. Everyone just hung out, chatted, and watched the kids play. Then, after dinner we went to go see Christmas lights. We got out and walked around the neighborhood (where the lights were). Malina and Mason really enjoyed the lights. They were both really cute looking at the lights. When we returned to Inays all of the kids opened gifts. That was fuuunn!! Too see all of their lil faces light up in excitement was priceless. Malina took sooooooo long to open her gifts because she would see part of it and play with that part..LOL. She didn't end up opening all of them because there wasn't enough hours..hahah. that was really cool though to have all the cousins opening at once. Meanwhile, all the parents are quickly trying to video tape and take pictures:). Christmas day we woke up and Malina was sooo excited to see the wagon Santa left her. Slowly but surely we opened presents. Malina opened pretty much all day and still had some left. She was really cute and got excited with all the gifts. Then she wanted to play with all of them immediately. So you can imagine the chaos that was going on in our living room.
Tata, Michael, Lolo, Auntie Arlene, Uncle Nicko, Nickolas and Adrian all came by. Malina opened gifts with them and played and played and played some more. We had a really good time just watching basketball and football, eating and chatting.

Malina is really wanting to walk more. Throughout the day she walks a lot now. She walked the length of our living room back and forth with out falling. Most of the time she gets soooo excited that she ends up falling because of the excitement.
We can't wait in a just 3 more days she'll be 1!!

Less than a month to 1

I can't believe my baby is 11 months old ALREADY!! This month she celebrated her first Halloween and Thanksgiving.

For Halloween we spent it at the Dir's watching the Chargers and then trick-or-treating. All of the kiddos looked so cute!! Malina had fun. Since we were there all day, she played all day, and didn't nap. So, when it was time to trick-or-treat, she went to a few houses then passed out.
Her first Thanksgiving was also very fun. We started the day at our house. We cooked a little Thanksgiving. Tata, Uncle Michael and Lolo all came by. Then we went to Nina Heather's familys house. Malina had a ball! She had fun playing with the kids, adults, and crawling around. She was glad she got to have 2 Thanksgivings, even though she only ate a little bit at both:).

This month Malina has really started to show her personality. She is very funny!!! She loves to now wave "hi" and "bye" to everyone. No matter where we are she waves :). She's been waving for a while, but now she knows to do it when getting somewhere or leaving!

She's also started to stand everywhere, mostly leaning onto things, but she also stands for a lil with nothing and takes a few steps. She likes to push toys that helps her walk. She started with kenzi's shopping cart and now she likes to push her walker. It's quite funny though, because she pushes all her toys to help her walk, whether they are walkers or not...hahaha.
She also has started to speak her own language. She definitely is going to have a lot to say because she is already constantly talking. She says "mama" "dada" and "tetha" really clear...haha. apparently "tetha" is bottle:). She also says "whoa" and "wow" and many other words, but not too sure what she is talking about.

She has continued to shake her head and yell this month. She likes to yell when it's quiet, go figure..haha. She has continued to be a very happy baby, always laughing and smiling!! She loves being outdoors and playing with kids;0. We are LOVING every moment with Malina. We can't wait to celebrate her first Christmas and then her first Birthday!!

Nov 10 Malina's 10th month

Where's OUR baby??

Malina is officially done with the "paci"!! I can't believe it was so easy..LOL. It was actually by accident that she stopped..haha. We were in Blythe and I forgot it for the day, of course, I freaked out at first. Then, I decided to see how she'd do without it. All day she was fine:). So, I decided to try at night and again she was fine. Now a week and a half later, she's DONE!! She had a couple whiny moments, but nothing like what I expected.

This week she started waving hi and bye. Last week she would randomly do it, now this week when we leave or arrive she waves. It's really cute!! Of course, it makes me sad cuz she's growing up toooooo fast!!

We are very excited for Malina's first Thanksgiving and holiday season and then her FIRST Birthday!! It's all coming tooo quick!! Stay tuned................

Happy 10 months!!

Our baby girl is getting closer and closer to her first birthday! Everyday she is changing. This last month she really started to grow and become our big girl :(!!

She is growing for sure!! Recently she started wearing size 3 diapers. She was spilling out of the size 2's....hehe. Also, she is now wearing 12 months. I put on her 6-9 months pants, and they were like capri's on her. She can still wear 6-9 on top, but 12 months fit best. My poor girl is growing too quickly!!

She also got her "big" top two front teeth:). Those were a lil painful for her. She woke up the night before they popped out in pain. Shortly after she got her 7th and 8th teeth (both on top). It seems like these teeth are constantly popping out. Now she has 4 on top and 4 on bottom:), and she's trying to eat, chew and BITE everything. We constantly have to tell her "NO" when trying to bite us. Usually she likes biting my arm or leg..lol

All of a sudden, Malina likes to eat again!! She started to eat baby food and even a lil table food. She's so funny because anytime we are eating she comes up to us and wants whatever we are eating. Sometimes we give her little pieces and she LOVES it!! Her bf Kenzi even snuck her a piece of apple , which she liked..hahaha.

She has started to crawl really fast and stand up on EVERYTHING!!! It's so funny to see her stand up on all the time. She really is trying hard to take steps. We are definitely not trying to rush the walking..hahah

She had her 9 month check up and got her flu shot. She actually took the shot really well!! She now weighs 18.4 oz and is 27 inches long. Our baby is growing too quickly!!

Oct 10 Malina's 9th month

1st Pumpkin Patch

Malina went to her first pumpkin patch this weekend!! We went down to visit Nina Heather and cousin Mason this Saturday for some scrapbooking and fun!! We decided to take the kiddos to the pumpkin patch too. Of course, it started to drizzle a lil on our way and while we were there. We didn't stay very long but we did manage to get some pics and see tons of pumpkins. Mason and Malina are too small for most of the fun , so we just walked around a little. Like always, Malina and Mason would not look at the camera at the same time. I did manage to get few pics though.

Now that she's been to the pumpkin patch Malina is ready for her FIRST Halloween!!

Tooo funny!!!

Malina is too funny!! She keeps us laughing and smiling all the time!! She is very happy!! She smiles all the time:). Even when she gets hurt or mad she'll cry quickly (sometimes longer than others..haha) then she's back to her happy self.

She started playing peek-a-boo with us!! She likes to go under the tv tray then come up. She laughs sooooo hard. Also if we hide and say "BOO!" to her she laughs a lot!!
She also has started crawling very quickly EVERYWHERE!! She likes to crawl, look back and if we are coming she goes fast and laughs very hard:). She likes to go places where we tell her not to, of course!

A few other things that make her laugh....people, tv and books!! She likes to play with anyone who will play with her. If she even sees the Kids on Demand channel she gets excited knowing Yo Gabba Gabba is coming on!! She will sit and watch and dance the entire episode...haha. We are sooo happy but she really likes books!! She opens them up and talks to them and sometimes even yells!! She likes her lil photo album that has pictures...she constantly looks at all the pics of her family and friends!

Happy 9 months to our lil beauty!!

Yep, she is 9 months old!! I can not believe it!! Time has really gone by quickly. EVERYDAY she is doing something new. She has gotten her forth bottom tooth and I'm starting to wonder if she'll get top teeth...haha:). Last week she also started crawling, no more army crawling!! She is very quick, and definitely know what she wants and crawls after it. She's also continued to stand up on EVERYTHING.

This last week, she has become really clingy :(. I don't mind the clinginess, but it's just when I'm not around and she cries. It's very flattering, but it makes me feel terrible :(. On last Saturday, for the first time the Kids Klub told me she cried the entire time she was there. That made me sad because usually she is always very happy and excited. I did continue to take her all week , and today and yesterday she did better,I'm soo glad!

I'm hoping it is coincidence, but Malina has started shaking her head "no". Malina do you want your paci "no"...malina eat this "no". She shakes her head and puts her lips together too in case you don't understand the head shaking. Speaking of food, this girl does not like baby food anymore. She refuses to eat ANY baby food....uuuugggghhh!!! She will only drink a bottle or eat little snacks (yogurt melts,puffs, etc.), I don't get it!

Each day is a new adventure with this girl!! We look forward to seeing what the 9th month has in store for us!!

Sept 10 Malina's 8th month

Where's our little baby??!!??

Malina is changing way too quickly!! EVERYDAY she does something new. Last week we left her for 3 nights (wahhhh) with Nana and Grandpa while we went to "play" in Vegas for my birthday. I swear in those 3 days she changed so much...haha.

Her 3rd tooth is officially out:). No top teeth yet, but the 4th bottom is now popping out. She loves to use those teeth. She is constantly chewing on everything. Last week I found teeth marks in her crib:(. Thankfully, cousin Mason gave her his railing cover, so now she can't chew on the wood...heheh.
She is also standing very good. She isn't very interested in her toys anymore, she'd rather just walk along the couches. She gets up and then moves side to side, it's quite funny! I also caught her doing laps in her crib holding onto the wood..LOL.

She's had a lil cold off and on. She gets pretty mad when she is stuffed up. She HATES to cough. Her little cough is really cute but I feel bad because she cries when she coughs. Thankfully each time she's been sick there's only been ONE bad day and it's usually or Friday or Saturday night..haha It's like she knows I'll be off the next day. This last Saturday she was soooo uncomfortable and would NOT sleep. Finally after getting up like 5 times in an hour I put her in bed with us. She slept sooo good:). We were both scared the whole night to roll on her. Let me tell u that will not happen often. This girl is ALL OVER. I had her hand on me, then her feet , and finally her butt....needless to say she was back in her crib the next night:).
Yesterday, she started getting on her knees and crawling. She's been rocking back and forth awhile but she finally started crawling. She still goes back and forth with a crawl and a the army crawl, so we'll see what she decides to do..hahahaa.
EVERYDAY she gets much more fun. She definitely keeps us busy and on our toes. We can't wait to see what else she has in store:).

8 months old

CRAZY,CRAZY,CRAZY!!! malina turned 8 months last week and I barely got a second to sit down and update her blog. Daddy's bithday was right after, then Lola's death anniversary, then mommy's birthday. Needless to say, we've been going, going, going since last week.
Malina is doing GREAT!! the lil munchkin is not missing anything. She's started to hold her own bottle (when she wants), rocking back and forth and army crawling a lot and CHEWING her crib:(. Yes, she is is part chipmunk. I looked at her cribn and was stunned to see some of the wood gone. I guess that's out pay back for lowering her crib...haha. We already need to put it all the way down because the lil monkey is still standing up. Of course she has lots of rrom, but still makes us nervous.
Overall, Malina is doing fantastic. If only she would consistently eat, then i'd be super happy. I did start giving her snacks and of course she loves them. I think she's gonna be a snacker like momma:)

Aug 10 Malina's 7th month

Little MJ

Our lil munchkin is sick again! Since the middle of this month she's not been feeling to great. Wednesday she started getting some mucus in her eye so I took her to Urgent Care. Of course, she has a cold and her cold has caused the eye mucus :( and ANOTHER ear infection. My poor lil girl. Luckily, she's happy as can be!! You wouldn't be able to tell. I guess that explains why last week she was sooo clingy and whiny....haha...poor lil one was in pain:(. Overall she's doing well she just DOES NOT enjoy taking her medicine.

On top of that her third bottom tooth came through this week. If it's not one thing it's another. Malina has continued to be very vocal and let's us know EXACTLY what she wants..hehe. A few days ago I caught her standing in her crib, so daddy immediately lowered it. Now she lifts the bumper to look through, it's really cute! Also, she has started eating "snacks"...haha. She had some puffs. At first the texture was kinda wierd but she got used to it very quick and now she likes them a lot.

Last week, she got to celebrate Inay's (great grandma) 99th birthday! That was real special. She loves seeing all the family. We even managed to get all the kids together for a pic:). Malina enjoyed playing with all her cousins/bodyguards. Unfortunately, Malina wasn't feeling the best that day and it was a very warm day, so she was a lil fussy. Regardless she had a fun time and was sooo happy to celebrate Inay's 99th birthday!

Growing quickly....

Lots has happened in these last few weeks.....of course many more firsts!!! Malina finally met her cousins Nickolas and Adrian and got to play with them:). She had a blast!! The boys were AWESOME with her and enjoyed entertaining her. Adrian could not give her enough kisses, it was too cute!! Unfortuinatley it was not planned, so mommy FORGOT both cameras:(....so we only got a couple pics with the phone:). Malina already can't wait to play with them again!

Malina also started sitting regularly in the stroller. She looks like such a big girl now!! It's so much easier and the stroller is much lighter...makes mommy happy!!Also, our big girl started sitting in the cart:). She really liked that because now Miss BUSY BODY can see EVERYTHING!! We also transitioned her to the big girl bather...where she sits up. She likes it because she can play in the water;)Lastly, she also sits in the high chair at restaurants...no more car seat!! That's so nice because now she can see everything....BUT she can also touch everything!! And believe me she makes sure to touch and play with it all!!

We are soooooo excited with all her firsts and how much she is changing, even though, she keeps us on our toes:)

7 months old

July was a busy month for Malina!! She had her first 4th of July,got her ears pierced, got more shots, got baptized, went to the beach and started going to a new sitter!!

July flew by especially since my summer was over:(. Malina and I had tons of fun while I was off. She had her first 4th of July which she enjoyed very much!! Then she got her shots and her ears pierced, so that was a double.....ouuuch!! But she did great!! We finally baptized her. That was a fun and exhausting day!! Malina was hot so that kinda put her in a bad mood ...haha. Malina went to the beach for the first time. She really enjoyed it, she loved the sand. I can't wait to take her when she's a little bigger.

Malina has become VERY active this month. She scoots A LOT!! We are constantly on the go trying to keep up with her. She also LOVES,LOVES,LOVES to jump and bounce. In her bouncer she goes crazy. Even when you hold her she just jumps and bounces. She is also very vocal. She likes to scream and yell...haha. At night she will even talk herself to sleep....it's very cute:)

I started back to work, so Malina goes to a sitter right near my work. A few of my co-workers recommended a lady who watched their kids, Rosa. Malina loves going there. She is very happy when I drop her off and very happy when i pick her up. She has not cried yet...(thankfully). There are other kids there at times and she loves to watch them.

She is growing so quickly!! I wish i could freeze time to enjoy it even more...hehe. 6 months down 6 more til she's 1.......can't believe it

Jul 10 Malina's 6th month

Where is our baby?

I don't even know where to begin!! Our lil girl is now doing the army crawl, drinking out of a sippy cup (kinda), and eating tons of fruits and veggies. She also visited Pacific Beach for the first time and finally met Auntie Dolly, Auntie Maritel and cousin Josh! Malina was soooo happy to meet more family!! She loves all her family and meeting ones she hasn't yet. Auntie Dolly, Auntie Maritel and Josh were in town for a quick visit. Malina was able to hang out for a bit. She was pretty good when they saw her during the day, but of course was a lil cranky when she visited close to her bedtime :(. So it's official she's doing the army crawl....haha. Late last week she started and she has gotten mighty fast. The video clip below is the day she started doing it. Her and I were playing and she kept reaching for a toy next thing I knew she was scooting to the toy. Of course, it took me a moment to find the camera, so by the time I filmed it she was EXHAUSTED..haha. Since then she's only gotten better. Now she moves quicker and all over. Of course, she prefers to be where ever I haven't laid down the blanket...haha She has also started to eat tons of different fruits and veggies. She has LOVED all of them. Carrots were her least favorite and come to find out they irrate her tummy. So other than carrots she eats it all. I've started to puree veggies for her:). She loves the green beans and peas:)Hopefully that means she'll be a good eater and like veggies. She also have started to take sips from beginning a sippy cup. During dinner we let her have a few swallows of water. She really seems to like it and gets water all down her chin and neck. Malina also visited the beach for the first time. The Farrage's had a beach house, so we went to play:)!! She loved it!! Of course, she loved the sand and all the people. She wasn't too crazy about the cold water. Every time the water would come to her feet she'd lift them...it was quite funny!! She definitely enjoyed herself and even managed to take a nice nap on the beach..LOL:) We are very lucky to have such a happy and good natured baby. For the most part she likes everyone and is happy. She usually only gets fussy when she's tired, hungry, or hot!! No complaints here!! All in all....i can't believe our lil munchkin will be 7 months Friday!! She is growing and getting so big right before our eyes!

Mommy and Daddy Time

We decided to take an early anniversary trip. Nothing big, we went to Rancho Mirage (Palm Springs area) for a day and a half.

Since Nana Norma was here Malina stayed and played with her. We had an awesome time. We lounged by the pool and had some drinks. Of course, it was great having alone time but we missed Malina.

When we got home she was so excited to see us. She kept looking back and forth at us and smiling! It was VERY cute!! We were soo excited to see her. We had a wonderful time together,but we missed Malina. We're glad we had some time away, but were glad to be home with Malina and Nana.

Malina is getting soooo big:(. She is officially our lil roller and swimmer. She also has her first bottom two teeth now and loves to sit up and play.

Malina loves to be on her tummy and roll to her back. She hasn't mastered rolling back to tummy from her back yet, so usually she yells for help...haha or she just plays for awhile on her back.

FINALLY, her two lil bottom teeth popped out. We've seen them for awhile, but now they are there:). Poor girl, has been waking up during the night. Sunday, they popped out and like magic she was back to sleeping good.......YEAH for all!!

She also sits up pretty good now. Last week she was pretty wobbly but recently she's been sitting pretty good for awhile. Of course, she has her occasional falls and I would not put her on tile, but on padded nice carpet she sits just fine;).
