First Christmas!!

Malina had such a WONDERFUL holiday!!She spent Christmas Eve (day) at home,hanging with mommy and daddy! Tata and Michael came by for a few hours too. We all just hung out and watched tv and laughed at SILLY Malina, of course.

Christmas Eve (evening) we went to Inays. It was so great for Malina to see a lot of the family. It had been a while since she was able to see all her cousins. Everyone just hung out, chatted, and watched the kids play. Then, after dinner we went to go see Christmas lights. We got out and walked around the neighborhood (where the lights were). Malina and Mason really enjoyed the lights. They were both really cute looking at the lights. When we returned to Inays all of the kids opened gifts. That was fuuunn!! Too see all of their lil faces light up in excitement was priceless. Malina took sooooooo long to open her gifts because she would see part of it and play with that part..LOL. She didn't end up opening all of them because there wasn't enough hours..hahah. that was really cool though to have all the cousins opening at once. Meanwhile, all the parents are quickly trying to video tape and take pictures:). Christmas day we woke up and Malina was sooo excited to see the wagon Santa left her. Slowly but surely we opened presents. Malina opened pretty much all day and still had some left. She was really cute and got excited with all the gifts. Then she wanted to play with all of them immediately. So you can imagine the chaos that was going on in our living room.
Tata, Michael, Lolo, Auntie Arlene, Uncle Nicko, Nickolas and Adrian all came by. Malina opened gifts with them and played and played and played some more. We had a really good time just watching basketball and football, eating and chatting.

Malina is really wanting to walk more. Throughout the day she walks a lot now. She walked the length of our living room back and forth with out falling. Most of the time she gets soooo excited that she ends up falling because of the excitement.
We can't wait in a just 3 more days she'll be 1!!

Less than a month to 1

I can't believe my baby is 11 months old ALREADY!! This month she celebrated her first Halloween and Thanksgiving.

For Halloween we spent it at the Dir's watching the Chargers and then trick-or-treating. All of the kiddos looked so cute!! Malina had fun. Since we were there all day, she played all day, and didn't nap. So, when it was time to trick-or-treat, she went to a few houses then passed out.
Her first Thanksgiving was also very fun. We started the day at our house. We cooked a little Thanksgiving. Tata, Uncle Michael and Lolo all came by. Then we went to Nina Heather's familys house. Malina had a ball! She had fun playing with the kids, adults, and crawling around. She was glad she got to have 2 Thanksgivings, even though she only ate a little bit at both:).

This month Malina has really started to show her personality. She is very funny!!! She loves to now wave "hi" and "bye" to everyone. No matter where we are she waves :). She's been waving for a while, but now she knows to do it when getting somewhere or leaving!

She's also started to stand everywhere, mostly leaning onto things, but she also stands for a lil with nothing and takes a few steps. She likes to push toys that helps her walk. She started with kenzi's shopping cart and now she likes to push her walker. It's quite funny though, because she pushes all her toys to help her walk, whether they are walkers or not...hahaha.
She also has started to speak her own language. She definitely is going to have a lot to say because she is already constantly talking. She says "mama" "dada" and "tetha" really clear...haha. apparently "tetha" is bottle:). She also says "whoa" and "wow" and many other words, but not too sure what she is talking about.

She has continued to shake her head and yell this month. She likes to yell when it's quiet, go figure..haha. She has continued to be a very happy baby, always laughing and smiling!! She loves being outdoors and playing with kids;0. We are LOVING every moment with Malina. We can't wait to celebrate her first Christmas and then her first Birthday!!

Nov 10 Malina's 10th month

Where's OUR baby??

Malina is officially done with the "paci"!! I can't believe it was so easy..LOL. It was actually by accident that she stopped..haha. We were in Blythe and I forgot it for the day, of course, I freaked out at first. Then, I decided to see how she'd do without it. All day she was fine:). So, I decided to try at night and again she was fine. Now a week and a half later, she's DONE!! She had a couple whiny moments, but nothing like what I expected.

This week she started waving hi and bye. Last week she would randomly do it, now this week when we leave or arrive she waves. It's really cute!! Of course, it makes me sad cuz she's growing up toooooo fast!!

We are very excited for Malina's first Thanksgiving and holiday season and then her FIRST Birthday!! It's all coming tooo quick!! Stay tuned................

Happy 10 months!!

Our baby girl is getting closer and closer to her first birthday! Everyday she is changing. This last month she really started to grow and become our big girl :(!!

She is growing for sure!! Recently she started wearing size 3 diapers. She was spilling out of the size 2's....hehe. Also, she is now wearing 12 months. I put on her 6-9 months pants, and they were like capri's on her. She can still wear 6-9 on top, but 12 months fit best. My poor girl is growing too quickly!!

She also got her "big" top two front teeth:). Those were a lil painful for her. She woke up the night before they popped out in pain. Shortly after she got her 7th and 8th teeth (both on top). It seems like these teeth are constantly popping out. Now she has 4 on top and 4 on bottom:), and she's trying to eat, chew and BITE everything. We constantly have to tell her "NO" when trying to bite us. Usually she likes biting my arm or leg..lol

All of a sudden, Malina likes to eat again!! She started to eat baby food and even a lil table food. She's so funny because anytime we are eating she comes up to us and wants whatever we are eating. Sometimes we give her little pieces and she LOVES it!! Her bf Kenzi even snuck her a piece of apple , which she liked..hahaha.

She has started to crawl really fast and stand up on EVERYTHING!!! It's so funny to see her stand up on all the time. She really is trying hard to take steps. We are definitely not trying to rush the walking..hahah

She had her 9 month check up and got her flu shot. She actually took the shot really well!! She now weighs 18.4 oz and is 27 inches long. Our baby is growing too quickly!!

Oct 10 Malina's 9th month

1st Pumpkin Patch

Malina went to her first pumpkin patch this weekend!! We went down to visit Nina Heather and cousin Mason this Saturday for some scrapbooking and fun!! We decided to take the kiddos to the pumpkin patch too. Of course, it started to drizzle a lil on our way and while we were there. We didn't stay very long but we did manage to get some pics and see tons of pumpkins. Mason and Malina are too small for most of the fun , so we just walked around a little. Like always, Malina and Mason would not look at the camera at the same time. I did manage to get few pics though.

Now that she's been to the pumpkin patch Malina is ready for her FIRST Halloween!!

Tooo funny!!!

Malina is too funny!! She keeps us laughing and smiling all the time!! She is very happy!! She smiles all the time:). Even when she gets hurt or mad she'll cry quickly (sometimes longer than others..haha) then she's back to her happy self.

She started playing peek-a-boo with us!! She likes to go under the tv tray then come up. She laughs sooooo hard. Also if we hide and say "BOO!" to her she laughs a lot!!
She also has started crawling very quickly EVERYWHERE!! She likes to crawl, look back and if we are coming she goes fast and laughs very hard:). She likes to go places where we tell her not to, of course!

A few other things that make her laugh....people, tv and books!! She likes to play with anyone who will play with her. If she even sees the Kids on Demand channel she gets excited knowing Yo Gabba Gabba is coming on!! She will sit and watch and dance the entire episode...haha. We are sooo happy but she really likes books!! She opens them up and talks to them and sometimes even yells!! She likes her lil photo album that has pictures...she constantly looks at all the pics of her family and friends!

Happy 9 months to our lil beauty!!

Yep, she is 9 months old!! I can not believe it!! Time has really gone by quickly. EVERYDAY she is doing something new. She has gotten her forth bottom tooth and I'm starting to wonder if she'll get top teeth...haha:). Last week she also started crawling, no more army crawling!! She is very quick, and definitely know what she wants and crawls after it. She's also continued to stand up on EVERYTHING.

This last week, she has become really clingy :(. I don't mind the clinginess, but it's just when I'm not around and she cries. It's very flattering, but it makes me feel terrible :(. On last Saturday, for the first time the Kids Klub told me she cried the entire time she was there. That made me sad because usually she is always very happy and excited. I did continue to take her all week , and today and yesterday she did better,I'm soo glad!

I'm hoping it is coincidence, but Malina has started shaking her head "no". Malina do you want your paci "no"...malina eat this "no". She shakes her head and puts her lips together too in case you don't understand the head shaking. Speaking of food, this girl does not like baby food anymore. She refuses to eat ANY baby food....uuuugggghhh!!! She will only drink a bottle or eat little snacks (yogurt melts,puffs, etc.), I don't get it!

Each day is a new adventure with this girl!! We look forward to seeing what the 9th month has in store for us!!

Sept 10 Malina's 8th month

Where's our little baby??!!??

Malina is changing way too quickly!! EVERYDAY she does something new. Last week we left her for 3 nights (wahhhh) with Nana and Grandpa while we went to "play" in Vegas for my birthday. I swear in those 3 days she changed so much...haha.

Her 3rd tooth is officially out:). No top teeth yet, but the 4th bottom is now popping out. She loves to use those teeth. She is constantly chewing on everything. Last week I found teeth marks in her crib:(. Thankfully, cousin Mason gave her his railing cover, so now she can't chew on the wood...heheh.
She is also standing very good. She isn't very interested in her toys anymore, she'd rather just walk along the couches. She gets up and then moves side to side, it's quite funny! I also caught her doing laps in her crib holding onto the wood..LOL.

She's had a lil cold off and on. She gets pretty mad when she is stuffed up. She HATES to cough. Her little cough is really cute but I feel bad because she cries when she coughs. Thankfully each time she's been sick there's only been ONE bad day and it's usually or Friday or Saturday night..haha It's like she knows I'll be off the next day. This last Saturday she was soooo uncomfortable and would NOT sleep. Finally after getting up like 5 times in an hour I put her in bed with us. She slept sooo good:). We were both scared the whole night to roll on her. Let me tell u that will not happen often. This girl is ALL OVER. I had her hand on me, then her feet , and finally her butt....needless to say she was back in her crib the next night:).
Yesterday, she started getting on her knees and crawling. She's been rocking back and forth awhile but she finally started crawling. She still goes back and forth with a crawl and a the army crawl, so we'll see what she decides to do..hahahaa.
EVERYDAY she gets much more fun. She definitely keeps us busy and on our toes. We can't wait to see what else she has in store:).

8 months old

CRAZY,CRAZY,CRAZY!!! malina turned 8 months last week and I barely got a second to sit down and update her blog. Daddy's bithday was right after, then Lola's death anniversary, then mommy's birthday. Needless to say, we've been going, going, going since last week.
Malina is doing GREAT!! the lil munchkin is not missing anything. She's started to hold her own bottle (when she wants), rocking back and forth and army crawling a lot and CHEWING her crib:(. Yes, she is is part chipmunk. I looked at her cribn and was stunned to see some of the wood gone. I guess that's out pay back for lowering her crib...haha. We already need to put it all the way down because the lil monkey is still standing up. Of course she has lots of rrom, but still makes us nervous.
Overall, Malina is doing fantastic. If only she would consistently eat, then i'd be super happy. I did start giving her snacks and of course she loves them. I think she's gonna be a snacker like momma:)

Aug 10 Malina's 7th month

Little MJ

Our lil munchkin is sick again! Since the middle of this month she's not been feeling to great. Wednesday she started getting some mucus in her eye so I took her to Urgent Care. Of course, she has a cold and her cold has caused the eye mucus :( and ANOTHER ear infection. My poor lil girl. Luckily, she's happy as can be!! You wouldn't be able to tell. I guess that explains why last week she was sooo clingy and whiny....haha...poor lil one was in pain:(. Overall she's doing well she just DOES NOT enjoy taking her medicine.

On top of that her third bottom tooth came through this week. If it's not one thing it's another. Malina has continued to be very vocal and let's us know EXACTLY what she wants..hehe. A few days ago I caught her standing in her crib, so daddy immediately lowered it. Now she lifts the bumper to look through, it's really cute! Also, she has started eating "snacks"...haha. She had some puffs. At first the texture was kinda wierd but she got used to it very quick and now she likes them a lot.

Last week, she got to celebrate Inay's (great grandma) 99th birthday! That was real special. She loves seeing all the family. We even managed to get all the kids together for a pic:). Malina enjoyed playing with all her cousins/bodyguards. Unfortunately, Malina wasn't feeling the best that day and it was a very warm day, so she was a lil fussy. Regardless she had a fun time and was sooo happy to celebrate Inay's 99th birthday!

Growing quickly....

Lots has happened in these last few weeks.....of course many more firsts!!! Malina finally met her cousins Nickolas and Adrian and got to play with them:). She had a blast!! The boys were AWESOME with her and enjoyed entertaining her. Adrian could not give her enough kisses, it was too cute!! Unfortuinatley it was not planned, so mommy FORGOT both cameras:(....so we only got a couple pics with the phone:). Malina already can't wait to play with them again!

Malina also started sitting regularly in the stroller. She looks like such a big girl now!! It's so much easier and the stroller is much lighter...makes mommy happy!!Also, our big girl started sitting in the cart:). She really liked that because now Miss BUSY BODY can see EVERYTHING!! We also transitioned her to the big girl bather...where she sits up. She likes it because she can play in the water;)Lastly, she also sits in the high chair at restaurants...no more car seat!! That's so nice because now she can see everything....BUT she can also touch everything!! And believe me she makes sure to touch and play with it all!!

We are soooooo excited with all her firsts and how much she is changing, even though, she keeps us on our toes:)

7 months old

July was a busy month for Malina!! She had her first 4th of July,got her ears pierced, got more shots, got baptized, went to the beach and started going to a new sitter!!

July flew by especially since my summer was over:(. Malina and I had tons of fun while I was off. She had her first 4th of July which she enjoyed very much!! Then she got her shots and her ears pierced, so that was a double.....ouuuch!! But she did great!! We finally baptized her. That was a fun and exhausting day!! Malina was hot so that kinda put her in a bad mood ...haha. Malina went to the beach for the first time. She really enjoyed it, she loved the sand. I can't wait to take her when she's a little bigger.

Malina has become VERY active this month. She scoots A LOT!! We are constantly on the go trying to keep up with her. She also LOVES,LOVES,LOVES to jump and bounce. In her bouncer she goes crazy. Even when you hold her she just jumps and bounces. She is also very vocal. She likes to scream and yell...haha. At night she will even talk herself to sleep....it's very cute:)

I started back to work, so Malina goes to a sitter right near my work. A few of my co-workers recommended a lady who watched their kids, Rosa. Malina loves going there. She is very happy when I drop her off and very happy when i pick her up. She has not cried yet...(thankfully). There are other kids there at times and she loves to watch them.

She is growing so quickly!! I wish i could freeze time to enjoy it even more...hehe. 6 months down 6 more til she's 1.......can't believe it

Jul 10 Malina's 6th month

Where is our baby?

I don't even know where to begin!! Our lil girl is now doing the army crawl, drinking out of a sippy cup (kinda), and eating tons of fruits and veggies. She also visited Pacific Beach for the first time and finally met Auntie Dolly, Auntie Maritel and cousin Josh! Malina was soooo happy to meet more family!! She loves all her family and meeting ones she hasn't yet. Auntie Dolly, Auntie Maritel and Josh were in town for a quick visit. Malina was able to hang out for a bit. She was pretty good when they saw her during the day, but of course was a lil cranky when she visited close to her bedtime :(. So it's official she's doing the army crawl....haha. Late last week she started and she has gotten mighty fast. The video clip below is the day she started doing it. Her and I were playing and she kept reaching for a toy next thing I knew she was scooting to the toy. Of course, it took me a moment to find the camera, so by the time I filmed it she was EXHAUSTED..haha. Since then she's only gotten better. Now she moves quicker and all over. Of course, she prefers to be where ever I haven't laid down the blanket...haha She has also started to eat tons of different fruits and veggies. She has LOVED all of them. Carrots were her least favorite and come to find out they irrate her tummy. So other than carrots she eats it all. I've started to puree veggies for her:). She loves the green beans and peas:)Hopefully that means she'll be a good eater and like veggies. She also have started to take sips from beginning a sippy cup. During dinner we let her have a few swallows of water. She really seems to like it and gets water all down her chin and neck. Malina also visited the beach for the first time. The Farrage's had a beach house, so we went to play:)!! She loved it!! Of course, she loved the sand and all the people. She wasn't too crazy about the cold water. Every time the water would come to her feet she'd lift them...it was quite funny!! She definitely enjoyed herself and even managed to take a nice nap on the beach..LOL:) We are very lucky to have such a happy and good natured baby. For the most part she likes everyone and is happy. She usually only gets fussy when she's tired, hungry, or hot!! No complaints here!! All in all....i can't believe our lil munchkin will be 7 months Friday!! She is growing and getting so big right before our eyes!

Mommy and Daddy Time

We decided to take an early anniversary trip. Nothing big, we went to Rancho Mirage (Palm Springs area) for a day and a half.

Since Nana Norma was here Malina stayed and played with her. We had an awesome time. We lounged by the pool and had some drinks. Of course, it was great having alone time but we missed Malina.

When we got home she was so excited to see us. She kept looking back and forth at us and smiling! It was VERY cute!! We were soo excited to see her. We had a wonderful time together,but we missed Malina. We're glad we had some time away, but were glad to be home with Malina and Nana.

Malina is getting soooo big:(. She is officially our lil roller and swimmer. She also has her first bottom two teeth now and loves to sit up and play.

Malina loves to be on her tummy and roll to her back. She hasn't mastered rolling back to tummy from her back yet, so usually she yells for help...haha or she just plays for awhile on her back.

FINALLY, her two lil bottom teeth popped out. We've seen them for awhile, but now they are there:). Poor girl, has been waking up during the night. Sunday, they popped out and like magic she was back to sleeping good.......YEAH for all!!

She also sits up pretty good now. Last week she was pretty wobbly but recently she's been sitting pretty good for awhile. Of course, she has her occasional falls and I would not put her on tile, but on padded nice carpet she sits just fine;).

Malina's BIG DAY!!

Malina had a busy,busy, BAPTISM DAY!! She actually was the last awake in the morning, which was nice because we were able to get ready. Of course, on our way to the church she decided to poop. Luckily, we got there early, so we were able to change her and get good seats.

During the ceremony Malina did pretty good. Of course, she did get a lil restless at times. It was a little warm , so she would get irritated. The ceremony was a little "unorganized" , but overall it went great!! Malina did not like the cold water on her head, but after she was fine:).

After the ceremony I wanted to take pictures, but poor Malina didn't...haha. I tried to get pics but it was a lil hard because Malina was hot and tiiirrred!! We did manage to get some pics though, but it took all of us to get her to smile.

On our way home Malina fell asleep. She was really tired. Once we got home and she saw people there, she didn't continue her nap. She had a great time celebrating with everyone and even managed to take a few naps.

Malina is sooooo lucky to have such great friends and family that helped her celebrate her BIG DAY!! We missed everyone who wasn't able to make it!! THANK YOU to all who came to the baptism and/or celebration !! We appreciate it!! Thank you to Malina's Ninas and Ninos...she is blessed to have 6 wonderful people in her life to help us guide her on her religious journey!

Poke,Poke,Poke,Poke,Poke

5 pokes in 2 days :( , our poor girl!! She actually did great!! First on Monday she got her ears pierced (2 pokes) and today she had her 6 month appointment and got 3 shots:*(.

We decided to finally pierce Malina's ears. Of course, I was nervous ALL DAY!! When Carey got off of work, we took her to Claire's in Fashion Valley and did it!! Of course, Malina did not enjoy it, she cried instantly and then was fine after a couple of minutes. So far, she has been really good and they don't seem to bother her. We love her new lil earrings and can't wait til we can change them in 6 weeks....heheh:)

Today was Malina's 6 month appointment! I swear she remembered the doctor's office..haha. As soon as we walked in she was mad..LOL. Dr. Dweyer had to check her ears to make sure the infection was gone and she did not like that AT ALL!! Our lil bubba now weighs 15lbs 14oz. and is 27 inches long. She's definitely getting bigger...haha. Her 6-9 months clothes fit her great in the length..haha.

Of course, Malina did not like the shots:(. She screamed each time she was poked:(. Luckily daddy is a good holder because I know I can't do it!!I even managed to video tape her after her last shot. It's very heart breaking to hear her sooo sad, but within a few minutes she was fine (i may post it later). So far so good today after the shots. No fever or anything. SO hopefully she'll have a good night, but only time will tell :).

Malina's FIRST 4th of July

Malina had a very exciting 4th of July!! Daddy had to work so Malina and I went to OB:).We had funnnn!! We went over to Natalie's house and hung out for a while. Malina got to see what it's like on the 4th in OB (kinda). She had a blast playing with Natalie and Matt. She wanted to stay for the marshmallow fight, but we left at nap time:(.

When daddy got off we went to Uncle Elvin and Auntie Leri's for a BBQ!! Malina had fun playing/watching the kids. It was awesome seeing the fireworks soooo close up. I think they were practically in the backyard:). Malina liked watching the fireworks!! I was surprised she didn't get scared. She even stayed up late (passed her bed time) to watch the entire show.

She had lots of fun on her FIRST 4th.....she looks forward to many more:):)!!!

Happy HALF Birthday!!!!

Our lil Malina is half way to one :(. I can not believe it!! Time really has gone by FAST!!!

Malina is officially sleeping through the night....YEAH!! She usually sleeps from 8pm to 8am. Of course, there's the days where she goes to bed later or wakes up earlier. Luckily, there's not many of those days:). When she was sick she did wake up once each night to eat. I think her ear was hurting her, so she'd wake up :(

She is doing EXCELLENT with her eating! Each week she has tried a new vegetable. We don't want to introduce her to fruits yet, because she might be like us and only want that...haha. She started with peas she's now had peas,green beans, squash,sweet potatoes and carrots. She eats all of them but I think carrots are her least favorite. They are my least favorite too because she gets them everywhere and poops every time while she is eating them...haha:). When she was sick she favored her bottle over her food, but she still ate SOME food.

Since she turned 6 months old we had to have a fun day for her:). We woke up went to the gym, then we had brunch at The Broken Yolk in PB. Malina did good but toward the end she wanted to get out and touch EVERYTHING....(she doesn't just sleep in restaurants anymore:( ). After that we went to Del Mar to take her to the park and play. Of course, she slept for the beginning but we didn't mind. We enjoyed sitting and relaxing. When she woke up we played at the park:) She had fuuuunn!!! SO did we:)!! Then we came home and had Nino Ron, Nina Heather, Auntie Rie, Tata, Nino Eric, Auntie Cecily, Nina Nate, Kenzi, Nevin, and Jaden over. We ate some Popeye's food (yuuum), dessert and just hung out!! It was nice getting to celebrate Malina's half birthday!!

We are scared the second half is going to go by just as fast as the first half:(!! Before we know it, it'll be time for her 1st Birthday!! We look forward to her 6th month......more adventure...more attitude....more food...more voice:).

Jun 10 Malina's 5th month

Our lil sick girl :(

Last week Malina woke up with a runny nose and cold-like symptoms. So of course, mommy and daddy knew something was wrong and called the doctor. Since she had been coughing a few days they wanted us to bring her in. When we brought her in she did have a little cold:( and an ear infection. Poor Malina had been tugging on her right ear but I thought it was because she was teething, i was WRONG!!!

She's actually done pretty good, much better than I expected. She definitely has her "whiny" moments, but those times are usually when its time for her to take a nap...haha. Also, she is teething, so our poor girl has pain coming in many areas. I must say though, she has done really well:) putting up with the constant nose wipes and taking medicine. She used to not mind taking meds, but now she does not like it. For her ear infection she is taking a prescription 3X's a day for 10 days, so I don't think any of us would like it either...hahah,

It's a bummer Malina is sick, but I am glad she's not toooo fussy!! Let's keep our fingers crossed that Malina gets over the ear infection and cold....SOOOOONNN!

Daddy's FIRST Father's Day!!

Malina is soooo lucky to have such a wonderful daddy. We wanted to make his special day the best:). I woke up an made him breakfast. Then we hung out for a lil, opened his gifts. Then we went to La Jolla with Tata and Uncle Michael. We had a yummmy lunch at The Burger Lounge then walked around La Jolla. It was such a beautiful,warm day. Malina LOVED being outdoors. She enjoyed watching the birds and all the people out an about.

We hope Daddy and Tata had a great Father's Day! We're bummed we missed Tata Chuchi,Lolo, and Grandpa on their special day!! Malina is lucky to have soooo many wonderful men in her life. She looks forward to many more Father's Days with all of them.

B-town visit

Since daddy had to be at GM conference all week last week Malina and I went to Blythe. We were so anxious to meet the newest member of the family Ralphie (baby R as Cycy calls him). Of course, i was really nervous and refused to drive all that way by myself with Malina, so Uncle Michael came to the rescue. He rode in the back with Malina and did an awesome job. Malina slept a lot of the ride, when she woke up Mj would play with her and make her laugh. Luckily both the ride up and and back she did great!!

We had fun hanging with family and friends in Blythe. We got to meet Ralphie, he's such a cutie!! We stayed with the Almquists, so Malina got to play with Kase, Lena and Kody. One night we had a BBQ at Lisa's and Uncle Richard, Richie, Nana, Tata, Tia Yoyo, Uncle Danny and all the kiddos were there:) It was fun visiting with everyone.

We even squeezed in lunch with Papa and Coco and dinner with Abri,Dorian,Danielle, Maria, Gavin, and Mel. Then we watch game 7 Lakers vs Celtics at the Copple's. Malina finally got to meet Rick, tacy and Khalil and saw lil Rick and Royce again.

Malina slept like a CHAMP:). Of course, Friday, the day we were coming home she decided to sleep in until 9..haha. I guess she didn't want to get on the rode at 9 like planned. We had a fun visit. It was great visiting with everyone:). We were excited to get back to see Carey though. We can't wait to go back to b-town.

Now that I am off of work Malina and I get to spend all day together. I enjoy all the time with her. It's so different than the time during my maternity leave. Now, she is much more interactive and playful. We have a lot of fun together. She really likes being outdoors, so I try and take her out as much as possible.
She loves to play and jump in her bouncer. She has also started to watch the Baby Einstein videos. She enjoys watching them while playing. She plays takes a break to watch, then back to playing.
Malina has now been eating green beans, peas, squash, and just today she had sweet potatoes. So far, she has liked all of them. The only time she doesn't eat good is when her gums (teething) are hurting :(. Other than that she is a great lil eater.

Miss Personality

Malina is lil miss personality!! She sure is already showing us who's boss...haha. She has started to yell a lot. I notice if we're not paying attention or if we're doing something else, she yells to get our attention.

She loves to wear sunglasses. It is sooo funny!! Her little nose can't quite hold up the glasses but she tries. Then as the glasses droop on her face she looks down through the lens...haha. My poor girl is already used to pics. She now will smile or not, depending on her mood when I have the camera. Most of the time she's happy since I take her pics right after she eats..LOL

We have started to take Malina to the Kids Klub at LA Fitness. I was kind of worried at first, but she loves it!! She didn't cry when mommy and daddy walked away. Of course, the first day we both kept checking on her (daddy twice,mommy once .. in an hour). She did good but of course, did not want to fall asleep because all of the kids were there. One of the little girls wanted to hold her and Malina fell asleep in her arms:). The second time I went to get her and she had just fallen asleep in the swing. It's nice having her there because she gets really tired, since she won't sleep there and also, mommy and daddy can workout while she plays.

Now that Malina is 5 months we decided to start her with the stage one foods. She started with peas:)!! She actually loves them. We sometimes give her just peas or sometimes she does peas and rice cereal, either way she is always down to eat...haha. This week we are going to try her with green beans. I'm hoping she likes them also.

Malina is no longer the baby of the family:(..haha:) Her Nina Mel finally had her cousin Ralphie on thursday!! Malina is super excited and can't wait to meet her newest cousin!

I know I have been behind on the blog....I apologize, but i've been busy. I had report cards due and all the end of the year "stuff". With the school year about to end i'm hoping to have more time to blog (at least once a week:) )....so .....STAY TUNED!!!

5 months old

Our lil munchkin is 5 months old!!! I can't believe it!!! This month she has started being much more vocal. She defintely lets us know if she is not happy or if she's really excited!! She laughs a lot and recently even whined a lil :(.

She's growing so quickly. She's now wearing all her cute 6 month summer clothes:) Her 3-6 month onesies still fit her, but her pants have to be 6months or bigger. She has continued to eat great. Her pooping and everything is riht on track...haha.

We were so excited her 5 month landed on Sunday during Memorial Day weekend. Of course, daddy wanted to BBQ that day :). It ended up being a very fun day for all. The Putnam's were in town staying with us, so that was fuuun!! We got the kids a lil swimming pool since we knew it would be a warm day outside. Mason,Nevin,Jaden,Kenzi and matthew had fun playing. Of course, the night ended with bubbles (my favorite). The adults took turns blowing bubbles for the kids..hahah. Malina had a blast going from arm to arm and watching the kids play. I even put her in them pool for a bit. She liked it until the boys started splashing...haha.

Malina had a great long weekend with both mommy and daddy and the Putnam's. She enjoyed watching Natalie and Matthew play. She loves watching the kids, so she was in heaven having Natalie and Matthew stay and play all day. I think she even wished she could play too...haha

May 10 Malina's 4th month

Almost 5 months

I don't even know where to start...haha. Malina is changing so much everyday. She has started eating oatmeal as well as her rice cereal. At first she wasn't too sure about the oatmeal, but she quickly got used to it. She now eats either rice cereal or oatmeal 3 times a day. At her meal time she eats the rice cereal or oatmeal then still drinks a 6 oz. bottle. This is great because now she actually gets full.

She has also started to "talk/yell". It's the cutest sound ever. On Wednesday she kept talking and she made herself hoarse.I think she likes to hear herself , so she keeps doing it. It's really cute! Now when she gets really excited or is happy she'll squeal...it's very funny!!

Malina's sleeping has been very inconsistent. Sometimes she is nice to daddy and sleeps through the night, then others she'll wake up once or twice for her paci, others she'll wake up like every few hours. Poor daddy is very tired by the end of the week.

Malina is a very HAPPY baby!! She's been really good with others lately. Last week she was so excited to FINALLY meet her cousin Adrian. Now she can't wait to meet her cousin Nickolas, hopefully she'll bump into him at Lolos soon like she did with Adrian:). On Saturday we spent all day with the Farrages and Dirs. She did great. She played and talked to everyone. She never really got too fussy. Then Sunday we had brunch with Rick and Royce and she did good with both of them. I have noticed that she's good with ANYONE unless she's tired or hungry, then she's not good with anyone....EVEN mommy or daddy...haha

She amazes us each day!!We can't wait to see what's next. 5 month here she comes!!!!

Who's watching Malina????

Now that Nana is gone Malina gets to spend LOTS of time with daddy!!! They are having lots of fun together. She makes sure to keep daddy on his toes at all times haha:). They enjoy taking naps together and playing. The other day daddy said they fell asleep together and when he woke up Malina was staring at him:). What a good girl, she let her tired daddy get some rest!!

When daddy has to work Malina either goes with Tata Nick or Auntie Flea until mommy gets off! She has lots of fun with both of them. At Tata Nicks she's a LITTLE spoiled..haha. She's gotten better, but she was always wanting him to hold her. She likes when Uncle Michael and his friends get home from school. She sits and watches them play and enjoys all the attention, of course! When she goes with Auntie Flea she loves to keep her busy as well!! She constantly wants to go outside or walk around. She is also lucky because cousin Mason is there some of the days. She likes to watch Mason play and use all his toys and stuff...hahaha.We are very lucky to have Malina with either Tata or Auntie when mommy and daddy have to work!!!
